Pet Haven Rescue Casino Night and Auction 2015 at Palm Beach Polo

Oh what a night The newly renovated Palm Beach Polo and Country Club as supporters of Pet Haven Rescue came together for a great time for a great cause. The fun was non stop and featured Music, dancing, great food and drinks, silent and live auctions, a speed painting exhibitions by the amazing Dale Henry paintman and so much more. Carole Crider Verrochi, Jessica Nicodemo, Joy Cawby, Jackie DeFilio Fraser and entire the committee and volunteers did a wonderful job putting together this SOLD OUT event. Michele Poole and The Auction Ladies there is no way we could have done it without you. Highlights of the auction were a Thulani South Africa Trip made possible by our friend Joanne Roy Young and Spring of Hope that brought $24,000, as well as State Attorney for the day made possible Dave Aronberg, Dave and his fiance Lynn Lewis are great assets to our community and help with so many causes. The Sheriff for a day package brought $6,000 and our PBSO friends were great to spend the night with! Recently featured on NBC nightly news, Pet Haven has deservedly attracted national attention. Pet Haven’s concept of animal shelter is considered unthinkable to most rescue organizations. Driving through the gates of Pet Haven feels like driving into a world class spa. The lawns are groomed, just are the pets that reside in dormitories. Pets sleep on cots and socialize with other dogs creating their own pack. Dogs of a kind are placed together in separate sections.

Much of Pet Haven’s success is directly related to Carole’s ability to understand animals. Many shelters send their lost causes and animals deemed unadoptable to Pet Haven. Many of these have “cage rage” because they have been confined in cages for so long. Virtually all of these pets have been saved and adopted after being rehabilitated in Pet Haven.

Even though many organizations feel they can’t achieve the status of being cage free, Carole is convinced they can and is ready, willing and able to train other shelters how to become cage free.
